Nu Groove
Here we are standing right now on what appears as the very last paragraph before Miami with tons of thangz in the pipeline to feed your appetites. We’re jackin’ back to the sound of the underground with this week’s feature dedicated to long time CT based DJ/producer Jus-Ed who’s both releasing his own label’s first comp and resurrecting his NYC residency at Elements this Sunday.
We’ve now been around for 2 ½ years which should make you in the position of knowing clearly what we’re about. But what about us as far as YOU’re concerned ? That’s the thema of our Politics Of Dancing piece due to hit your screens this Friday. As for our new Issue (#112) NuGroove columnist JM Irie gets back in full action with a tribute to Detroit rapster J Dilla who’s passed away a fortnight ago.

May he rest in peace, meanwhile our deepest thoughts go to his people.

Ladies & Gents, your attention please as this is almost the very last call for our special offer allowing you to have discount rates on the M3 passes. It’s definitely the time for promotion in regards to the numerous parties and events due to happen in a fortnight, so we’ve managed to have a chat with 3 times award winning NYC promoter, Robbi, who’s to look after the MAW and Clubshelter parties over there. Our Single Of The Week comes courtesy of Japanese producer DJ Kawasaki on King Street. Meanwhile, we have JM Irie talking about Nu Groove and Nicolas Lanneau about some Japanese releases for our French readers. All da best…

DJ GENESISAlready mid-December having most of us with an eye opened to the circumstancial festivities. As for what concerns us right now, we're getting ourselves ready to provide you next week with the best of 2004 as seen by our editorial team. As for your own selection, it is to be online in a fortnight. This meaning that you have another 7 days left to accomplish your electoral duty either while dropping us an e-mail (info) or registering on our forum (see Polls). As for this week's headlines, we've managed to have a conv. with Canadian head of Gotsoul label jojoflores who's currently on tour in South Africa, then made a quick stop in Detroit where we've gotcha another pure jewel courtesy of DJ Genesis & Omega as our Single Of The Week. Meanwhile, J'M Irie sits at the command of this week's issue with another instalment of his Nu Groove series. And if you're a bit of curious and understand a bit of Molière's language, Nicolas Lanneau is at the same position on our French version with some Japanese sweeties...

Say what ? Could it be that you still haven't voted for the best of 2K4 ??? Well it's still time doing it using the Polls page on our forum section

US young producer Alix Alvarez has made quite some noise this year and is no doubt amongst the most talented faces to have appeared recently. Is he to be your favourite out of 2004 ? This we shall see. At least, he's our fave this week answering our Q's (Interview). Meanwhile, on the opposite corner is a heavyweight champion who needs no introduction. Probably the #1 in his genre since day 1 some… 25 years ago. Ladies & gents : Prince, scoring our Single of The Week with his famous "Digital Garden" as relifted by Adam Goldstone on some white label. Regarding our Album Of The Month to be online tomorrow, it's none other than Jazzy Jeff with his In The House delivery for Soulheaven on Defected and believe this, it could well be the comp of the year ! As for our current issue, it's definitely as groovy by the likes of JM Irie with his Nu Groove column. We know you're gonna dig this…

Tons of awaited interviews and reviews currently in the pipeline to feed your souls and apetite for new soundabytes. This said quality music isn't strictly limited to club tchoons, should there be house or nu jazz, as notoriously demonstrated by Nitin Sawhney (Interview) with his recent All Mixed Up album whose title speaks for itself and Chez Damier scoring once more our Single Of The Week with the vol.2 in his Gathering series of 10". Meanwhile it's turn for Irie to come up with the latest developments of his Nu Groove column. Let's groove tonite !

Nu Groove

Nu Groove columnist, Irie is back in full effect this week with a brand new selection of his, but is this really and solely nu groove ? Who cares at the end of the day, as long as it's groove and that groove is definitely baaad, should it be the work of vets (like the Isley Brothers) as of the newest generation !!! Welcome to the land of the good groove, would say Chic founder member, Nile Rodgers who's awaited this month at the Nice Jazz Festival. Welcome to our issue # 61...

Time to leave house music for a while and have MFSB taking a short break while having a look at some other (serious) sides of the (black) groove with Nu Groove head, Irie. Good goody Miss Molly…
