Super producer Eric Kupper's techy alter-ego K Scope surely delivers the business on this sizzling EP. "Faith Healer" is in no uncertain terms, a slick synthy minimal track of maximal proportions, reminiscent of M.A.N.D.Y. & Booka Shade's massive "Body Language". A very left-of- center sound for Kupper but further proof this master of sounds can turn anything he touches to pure dancefloor gold, no matter what the style. "Elektrikiss" is a heady, late night electronic house instrumental, led by warm aquatic synth pads, a tasty bassline, and a pretty Rhodes piano lick. With releases already signed to Tommy Boy Silver, Yoshitoshi, Roger Sanchez's Stealth, SAW Recordings and others, as well as remix credits for the likes of Swedish house mafia main man Steve Angello and Tiger Stripes plus deep house mainstays Ultra Nate and Osunlade, we knew this release had something very special. First up is the Original version of "Mellow"; a lovely Bossa Nova beat groover perfect for the lounge vibe or warmup set. This is followed by nothing but 4 minutes of of pure stompin chunky beats. So sorry to have to end this year on such a somber note but it is with great and extreme sadness to report the passing of a legend, Mr. Mel Cheren this past Friday, December 7th. The man who owned West End Records , and the legendary Paradise Garage and who coined House Music as "Danceable R&B" was and continues to be an inspiration to us all. Let us take a moment to remember Mel and his amazing contributions to our culture and to our music. God Bless you Mel. We will remember you always.
Back when the majority of record companies were not willing to make a commitment to Disco Music, Mel Cheren was one of the first music industry insiders to promote and support the emerging Dance Music genre, which continues to be popular to this day. Acknowledged to be one of the original driving forces behind the creation of the Disco movement, he early on gained the nickname "The Godfather of Disco" because of his innovative ideas and the trends he helped to set. With a career spanning almost five decades, Cheren's many accomplishments over the years have clearly proven him to be one of the most important and passionate figures in Dance Music history. He has demonstrated the same commitment and dedication to his AIDS charity work from the early days of the crisis. His countless contributions to the fight against AIDS have become as legendary as his music industry landmarks and his iconic status within the evolution of New York City nightlife.

It took some time for this beauty to finally see the light of the day (Spirit of House did review the rough original back in March 2005), but it has been definitely worth the wait. Patrick Green teams up with Liberian diva Nimba Burr on the powerful yet soulful "Qua Tanka" on an Afro-house vibe featuring a lovely orchestration including an outstanding saxophone solo, lovely guitar and wicked organ ride, with Burr providing a passionate vocal performance. Beside the main 'Grass Roots Mix', there is the 'Organ Ride' which puts the organ center stage and a dub that slightly smoothes things down for a deeper take perfect for late night play. Mr. Cubanix goes even deeper, turning out a wicked reworking featuring catchy synths that make this a winner. Completing the package is a very useful acapella version.

The classic George Gerswhin standard is taken to the dancefloors by Dalminjo who comes up with a smooth deep house interpretation featuring sexy male vocals and a melodic instrumentation that is spiced with chords and percussion reminiscent of Philly Disco to add a slight disco flavor. Manuel Perez (of Wrong Step) provides the remixes, with his 'Discodub' beefing up the Disco flavors a bit while his 'Machine Remix' and 'Machine Dub' take the track to deeper grounds by using a fiercely rumblin' groove alongside wicked synths.

Here we go with some funky ass dancefloor madness courtesy of the Filta Freqz guys (Simon Cortez and Marco Manrique). "Is it true" features the vocal chorus of the classic Ralph Falcon (of Murk fame) production "Been A Long Time" (released under the name The Fog back in 1993) over a sexy funk spiced backing groove to create a create a groovy funky house jam that will take the floors by storm.

The Transit album by Mr. A.L.I (aka Jere McAllister and Vick Lavender) got released on CD earlier this year, with a remix album currently in the works. As a taster, Unified present the "Transit Remix EP" including a wonderfully orchestrated, jazzy uptempo take of the beautiful "Transit" which features a sweet'n'sexy female spoken word, as well as two reworkings of "Tribe Of Niema" where it is all about fierce percussion that creates an intense yet laidback vibe. You can choose between the 'Ancestry Mix' which is all about the percussion and the 'Dens Diaspora Mix' which adds a jazzy piano on top.

"Together" by Simon Grey has been a "Pick of the Week" here at Spirit of House back in March. Now with the release just around the corner, a brand new mix has been added. The original is a truly organic production featuring a marvellous live jazz-funk instrumentation and fantastic emotional vocal courtesy of Robbie Smith, with the arrangement of the song being top-notch, featuring great breakdowns and builds. Label head Dave Storm is responsible of the beautifully edited dub version that is a great choice to the main vocal version, while on the remix he teams up with Rocco to deliver a deeply rumblin' interpretation featuring wicked keys over a fierce backing groove.

After having several highly successful single releases, UPZ (the project of producer and DJ Avi Elman) drop their self titled album which features some of their previous releases as well as unreleased tracks and forthcoming singles. The album continues where the singles left off, bringing you soulful dance grooves fusing house with Latin, Afro, Caribbean an urban sounds. Even some wonderful downtempo songs are included on this package. All of the tracks are beautifully crafted, showcasing the class and talent of Elman. Feelin' Music comes up with nu-jazz/house combo The 1iBear debut release titled "You!". This tune is absolutely incredible, featuring a passionate yet sexy vocal performance by singer Aurora Dawn and a wicked live orchestration that gives the song an organic rare-groove inspired vibe creating an uplifting feeling. Beside the vocal and instrumental versions, there is a massive dub that will take dance floors by storm with its energetic vibe. Watch out for the breaks and build-ups which make this truly something special!
GREG KOZO featuring ESTEBAN GARCIA - "Paris City" (Place Blanche/CD Promo)
"Paris City" is a wonderful production by Frenchman Greg Kozo featuring a soulful'n'sexy vocal courtesy of Esteban Garcia. Kozo's original take (coming in vocal and dub versions) is built around a thumpin' beat enriched with an electrofied bassline and catchy synths to create a relentless vibe. Filthy Cojones reworks the track into a beautiful laidback affair that is all about lovely melodies over a smooth backing groove, while Lanoiraude delivers a deeply rumblin' dub that feautures lush keys. Lastly there is Talion Law who takes the track into a dark, electro flavored broken direction.
PEVEN EVERETT - "Sexy One" (Unified Records/CD Promo)
Here comes a mellow Latinesque house groovier in its original version that features an acoustic guitar and shuffling percussion alongside a wicked vocal performance by Peven Everett. The remix courtesy of Alex Dimitri powers up the drums and bassline to give the track a soulful kickin' feeling that keeps the acoustic flavors alive.
Exclusive Preview: HAROLD BRANDON - "Happiness" (Abicah Soul Remix) (Consortium Muzik/CD Promo)
What a wonderful remix Abicah Soul deliver on this beautiful song by Harlold Brandon, taking the laidback and deep vibe from the original to another level by further smoothing things down to an even more relaxed groove, with the marvelously crafted keys creating a fantastic melodic feeling. As we said with the review of the original version: inspiring dance music at its best.
HARNESS & SPENCER - "Tribal Shit" (LoveSlap!/CD Promo)
David Harness and Charles Spencer teaming up to give us a smooth yet resistless tribal house track. It's all about the laidback hypnotic tribal beat enriched with catchy synths and chords that altogether create an irresistible vibe. Two versions to choose from, with the latest providing a lovely alternate take to the original version.
FROM P60 featuring VIRAG - "New Way"/ "Be What I Wanna Be" (Pesto Music/CD Promo)
Massive two track release by From P60 on Pesto Music, with sensitive vocals by Virag. First we have "New Way", a thumpin' deep house track featuring melodic chords that give the whole a warm feeling. Nikola Gala's remix gives the track a more laidback feeling, while Jon Silva provides a deeply groovin' dub alongside a slightly tougher vocal version perfect for peak time play. For the bigger rooms, there is the electrofied 'Khaan Remix' included. "Be What I Wanna Be" is a fierce deep house track built around a deeply rumblin' groove, enriched with harmonic chords and sparse female vocals. Jon Silva gives the track a sharper, more electronic sounding on his rework. Also included is the 'Intro Mix', a reprise only using jazzy piano, harmonic chords and vocal samples.
A NIGHT WITH DICK - "The Dick Dickler EP" (Max Trax/CD Promo)
Behind this project is none other than the legendary Kerri Chandler who produced and mixed all of the tracks. All of the four track start of with recorded dialogues before the music kicks in. First up is "The Bar" featuring sexy spoken words by EQ (aka XTC Queen) over a classic Kerri Chandler styled deep house groove enriched with lovely chords. "The Drive" is next, a relentless, heavily thumpin' deep house track featuring wicked keys. "The Eye Tattoo" is a kickin' affair built around sharp beats that get topped with catchy synths and sexy female vocals. Last but not least, there is "The Tapes", an amazing track built around a resistless stompin' beat, with catchy keys and sexy vocals helping to create an absolutely intense vibe.
ORLANDO VAUGHAN - "Better Than Never" (Duffnote/CD Promo)
The Richard Earnshaw produced "Better Than Never" first saw the light of the day on the "Duffnote WMC 2007 Sampler", and since then its full release has been eagerly awaited. With a stunning vocal performance by Orlando Vaughan, "Better Than Never" is a sure shot winner built around a fiercely stormin' groove enriched with catchy keys that create an irresistible feeling. Rasmus Faber provides a lovely dub re-edit, while K-Bana gives it an electro flavored re-rub that is the choice for the bigger rooms. The Dolls Combers smooth things down for are soulful interpretation on a laidback tip, with the slightly tougher 'Alternative Club Mix' completing the package.
BACK TO FUNDAMENTALS presents JULIEN JABRE + DAVID DURIEZ - "The Stook"/"Wilderness" (SSOH Records/CD Promo) While the first release of the Back To Fundamentals project ( DJ Gregory's "You are my friend") has just been released on vinyl and as digital download, the next release is already on the horizon, bringing two more slammin' tracks. DeepHaven Music are going from strength to strength at the moment, and their latest offering is no exception. "Song And Rhyme" is an extremely soulful production featuring sensitive male vocals over a laidback backing groove that creates a mellow feeling. The 'Instrumental' is absolutely sublime, powering things up to make it suitable for many occasions. The package also includes an alternate vocal and a bonus beats version.
Exclusive Preview: JOE FLAME - Desperate Space LP (D#Sharp Records/CD Promo)
Joe Flame has constantly been putting out quality stuff over the past few months, and his forthcoming Desperate Space album is no exception. A variety of tracks to choose from, all of which are nicely orchestrated, exploring the soulful grounds of deep house. Whether it is the jazz flavored title track "Desperate Space", the deeply groovin' "Feel My Flow", the stormin' "Joey Is Watching You", the laidback "Just 4 You", the slightly techified stomper "Let's Dance", the deeply thumpin' "Stress" or the Latinesque "Wepa" (which features DJ Negro), it’s all about beautifully crafted music here.
DANNY MARQUEZ featuring AMMA - "Trust In Yourself" (BubbleSoul Records CD Promo)
Danny Marquez teams up with Amma on the irresistibly stompin' "Trust In Yourself" that features catchy synths alongside sweet percussion and a sexy vocal performance which altogether create an intense vibe. Kiko Navarro provides the remixes, with his 'Classic Mix' relaxing things with a smooth groove and warm melodic keys. As a contrast, his deeper 'Koki Spontah-Neo Dub' creates a dark vibe and comes spiced with wicked electrofied chords.
DOMU presents PETE SIMPSON - "Won't Give Up" (Papa Records/CD Promo)
"Won't Give Up" is the first single taken from Domu and singer, Pete Simpson’s forthcoming Look A Little Further LP. The original is a gorgeous downtempo affair that is oozing soulful vibes through the smooth bongo rhythm and wonderful instrumentation, with Pete Simpson providing a heartfelt vocal. The Realm take the song to the dancefloor, creating a smooth vibe on their interpretation built around a relentless yet laidback backing groove.

Another week, another slammin' rework by Alex Dimitri. KING DK featuring ROBINA - "Noche De Vida" (Black Vinyl/CD-R)
It has been almost two years since King DK (aka Michael Schreiber) released the massive "Can't Read Your Mind" on Black Vinyl. Now he returns with the beautiful "Noche De Vida" which features a sweet'n'sexy vocal courtesy of Robina alongside wonderfully performed horns, guitars and live bass that altogether create a smooth and soulful funk flavored vibe on a laidback tip.
RYB featuring ANGELITA JIMINEZ - "Brazilian Breeze" (Mutated Music/CD Promo)
RyB are Rafael Yapudjian and Marcos Bispo who team up with Brazilian singer Angelita Jiminez on the beautiful Afro-Latin "Brazilian Breeze", a sun drenched production creating an uplifting vibe through the wonderful orchestration and sweet vocals. Beside the sublime original vocal, dub and reprise versions, there are slammin' reworkings by the Stereo Mutants who fire things up on their mixes, providing a lovely vocal mix alongside two dubs, one being on a tougher edge perfect for peak time play, while the other one is smoothly funkin' up things.
MARIO BASANOV featuring AKMEJA - "Summer Breeze" (Camio Records/CD Promo)
Camio Records surprise us with something different to their latest offerings, but this is with no doubt another winner! The midtempo "Summer Breeze" by Lithuania's Mario Basanov features an emotional vocal performance by Akmeja over an organic backing featuring vibraphone, guitars, bass and wicked keys that create a laidback vibe perfect to chill. Deep INC take the song on a beautiful broken beat tip that keeps things soulful and mellow, while Groove Assassin reworks the song into a laidback houser featuring tight keys over a smooth yet fierce backing groove.
ANDY HOLDER featuring ERIK DILLARD - "Survive" (Soul Funk Digital/CD Promo)
"Survive" features the one and only Erik Dillard who delivers a passionate vocal performance on this uplifting production by Andy Holder. The original vocal and dub are feel good affairs featuring warm melodic keys nicely arranged over a thumpin' groove, while the 'Diversify Mix' is on a beautiful jazzed-up broken beat tip. Various dub mixes to choose from, with the 'Dancehall Dub' giving the track a laidback dancehall/dub feeling, while the 'Fall Down Dub' is a more laidback affair and the 'Inner City Dub' is the pick for peak time. The remix is courtesy of Richard Earnshaw who comes up with a laidback yet deeply groovin', old school flavored interpretation. Finally, there is the unreleased reprise of the original version.
DJ RICO - "Vibes On The Dancefloor EP" (Gotta Keep Faith Records/CD Promo)
DJ Rico follows up the success of his "The Funkiees Deep EP" with another slammin' release offering four new tracks. Kicking off is the deep and dark "My Paradise Garage" featuring a wicked male vocal, while "Soul Power" is pure funkiness with lots of samples and wicked spoken words. "Afro Phunkya" blends Afro and funk vibes into a hypnotic groover, while on "That People Underground" deep house meets funk
CHRIS N & MIKKEL WENDELBOE - "Into My Life" (Reel Groove/CD Promo)
Chris N and Mikkel Wendelboe present a release that infuses the best disco and house have to offer into a funktified uplifting production spreading feel good vibes through the fierce grooves that are offered in two lovely variations. Central Avenue provides the first remix, taking the track to deeper grounds, giving it a bumpy feeling with great keys taking the lead. The second remix is courtesy of Pingo & Bobby who rework the whole into a dark and dubby affair perfect for the bigger rooms. Completing the package is a very useful acapella.
SOUL PROVIDERS featuring MICHELLE SHELLERS - "Rise" (Born To Funk Remixes) (Look-At-You Records CD Promo)
The Soul Providers classic "Rise" gets revived by Born To Funk who deliver slammin' reworkings. Their 'Amsterdam Club Mix' is a fierce funktified affair driven by a deeply rumblin' bassline, with catchy chords together with Michelle Shellers soulful vocals creating a hypnotic feeling, while the 'Miami House Mix' creates a hands-in-the-air vibe with uplifting synths and lovely strings. The 'Miami House Instrumental' drops the vocals to let the keys and strings do the talking.
DNY featuring Mr. MAMA - "Bubbles EP" (Look-At-You/CD Promo)
Mr. Mama has been a regular guest here at Sprit Of House with his deep hypnotic grooves. Now he presents his first release for Look-At-You titled "Bubbles EP" featuring four irresistibly groovin' tracks (including the previously reviewed "Unfixed") with a raw edge that take you on a journey into hypnotic deep house grooves enriched with wicked keys and chords, with some of them spreading a definite old school feeling through a classy piano.
BACK TO FUNDAMENTALS presents DJ GREGORY - "You Are My Friend" (SSOH Records/CD Promo)
The honors for the first release in the "Back To Fundamentals" project go to DJ Gregory who delivers another one of his inescapable tracks in form of "You Are My Friend", an energetic work that keeps stompin' away from the very first second, with the chords and synths bringing back memories of that unrivaled balearic sounds, enriched with catchy female vocal chants and a lovely flute that adds a soulful touch to the track. Next up in the series will be "So Far Away" by Martin Solveig & Rumi.
Exclusive Preview: SCOTT GROOVES - "Only 500" (Natural Midi/CD Promo)
"Only 500" is the second release on Scott Grooves own Natural Midi label, and as the title suggests, this is going to be a highly limited vinyl release. On "Only 500", various layers of rhythms are fused together to create an atmospheric soundscape, somewhere between house and techno, with a deeply bubbling bassline groove serving as playground for the synths. The result is a hypnotic, absolutely relentless track.
JONNY YOUNG - "Non Violence" (Guess Records/CD Promo)
"Non Violence" by newcomer Jonny Young is a fiercely thumpin' production featuring lovely string hooks, catchy synth pattern and an effective vocal that altogether create a relentless feeling. K-Bana uses electrofied synths and a slightly techified groove to create a hypnotic interpretation, while Spiritchaser reworks the track into a peak time favorite built around a resistless bassline and effective synths.

The wait is over!!! One of the definite gospel house classics finally returns with fantastic remixes (available to a very few selected people only for quite some time). Originally released on Flatline Records back in 1999, the Holland Tunnel Project & James Perry produced "I Shall Not Be Moved" features an inspiring vocal by the one and only Kenny Bobien alongside incredible background choirs giving this song an incomparable uplifting feeling. The original is pure timeless New Jersey garage that is taken to new grounds by DJ Meme who gives it an irresistibly stompin' reworking that is beautifully orchestrated, with a reprise that will bring tears to your eyes. Blvd East smooth it down on their remix to give the song a more laidback feeling, while Fuzion (George Mena & Franke Estevez) deliver a groovy remix that lets the vocals shine alongside great keys.
PHYSICS - "It's All Good" (Matthias Heilbronn Mixes) (Bargrooves/CD Promo)
While we await the next Physics album (to be released later this year on Seamless Records), we can enjoy another single lifted from the latest, this time remixed by Matthias 'Matty' Heilbronn delivering a deeply groovin', fierce reworking that beautifully combines techified chords with a jazzy piano, melodic keys and a passionate female vocal. The dub mixes power things up, with extra keys supporting the creation a hypnotic vibe that is perfect for peak time play.

This lovely track produced by Spencer Gray (the collaboration between Marc-Alan Gray and Charles Spencer) had its original release on April 2003, featuring a sultry interpretation by Heather Johnson accompanied by a sexy vocal courtesy of Robert Owens and lovely keys on this brand new smokin' remix by Asadi Rizvi on a deep yet laidback tip. The 'Asadinho Pillow Fight Dub' is a tougher affair, taking the track to electronic grounds.
DJ HOFFMANA featuring CHICA LOCA - "Cierto Es" (Ospina Digital/CD Promo)
Italian DJ and producer DJ Hoffmana serving a bangin' Latin house track featuring passionate vocals by Valentina Ferrari alongside a wicked piano. The original version is on a powerful tribalesque tip, while the 'Hard Love Mix' is starting of smooth before turning into a harder edged track. Davidson Ospina provides a laidback reworking, while Jordan Rivera goes on for a darker tribal revisitation. Lastly Jon Parry serves a funkily stompin' reworking featuring a lovely saxophone.

This latest offering from Barcoda Records - "Jungle fever" by the Groove Invaderz (aka Jay 'Vegas' Forrester and Daryl Hughes) - is a fiercely stormin' Afro house track spiced with catchy Latin flavors that will bring uplifting summery vibes to the dance floor. Remixes included are courtesy of Danny J Lewis who delivers a chunky reworking, while Central Avenue relax things on their classic Latin house flavored take that features a beautiful jazzy piano.
REPLAY - "La Musica" (TriCircle/CD Promo)
TriCircle Records return with the first release of Swiss duo Replay for the label titled "La Musica", a beautiful Latin house production featuring sexy female vocal. The 'Club Mix' is a deeply thumpin' affair that gets turned into a serious Afro-latin bumper in the 'Afro Mix', while DJ Circle turns the whole into a funk flavored peak time monster jam. Christian Hornbostel's reworking is built around a massive bassline groove, while Jr. Rex comes up with a more relaxed, funk flavored vocal remix.
JULIUS PAPP featuring TONEE GREEN - "Primitive Future" (Soulfuric Deep/CD Promo)

Illustrious Swedish dance music producer Tiger Stripes (aka D"Malicious, aka 12th Floor) brings his own brand of boogie to the dance floor.
Having done at least two EP's for King Street / Nite Grooves, we couldn't help but ask him to grace us all with a debut full-length album. What he turned out was an unparalleled 73-plus minute CD containing a mostly instrumental mixture of dark yet unobtrusive tech, Latin-infused, jazzy riffs, pumping basslines, disco-stringed, pure head- nodding percussion, soulfully melodic tunes.

A well crafted sequel to the classic "Shining Your Way," part two features the talented Jephte Guillaume behind the production with up-and- coming AK on vocal duty. We give you two superior remixes of this song. Produced by Groove Assassin and featuring the incomparable Pete Simpson on vocals, this outstanding release that has timeless classic stamped all over it is a beautifull orchestrated, absolutely resistless and soulful gem that will be rocking the dancefloors for years to come. Dom Navarra contributes a laidback, percussion driven Latin house interpretation, while M-Sol delivers a deeply rumblin' reworking that is spreading an uplifting feeling through the beautiful keys and chords. H&H provide a laidback reworking featuring a great jazzy sax and lovely guitar riff. Closing the package is a wonderful, live instrumentated midtempo reprise by label head Jonny Montana.

Chaka Khan returns with the Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis produced Funk This album this month, with "Disrespectful" being one of the first singles to be released. This song is pure funk bliss with the two divas providing strong inspirational vocals. Matthias 'Matty' Heilbronn reworks the whole in a wonderful way, with his 'SoulFlower Mix' being a smooth and soulful funky jam on a midtempo tip, while his 'PDP Mix' is an uptempo house take that nicely blends the funky vibes with wicked keys and a relentless groove. The 'Disrespected Dub' is a great addition to the 'PDP Mix' that puts the keys centerstage.

DENNIS FERRER featuring MIA TUTTVILLA - "Touched The Sky (Different Take by Joe Claussell)" (King Street/CD Promo)
One of the standout cuts from Dennis Ferrer's The World As I See It album comes in yet another great variation, this time by Joe Claussell who serves a magical eleven mintue dub-take that adds a spiritual touch to the track with various beautiful layers of synths and organs. Also included is the 'Dub Beats' version being is perfect to play around with. Yass' 'Dubstrumental' is a respectful interpretation of the original taking it to deeper grounds, strengthening the resistless vibe of the track.
DSF - "Cover Letters" (ProgCity Deep/CD Promo)
A former Spirit Of House exclusive which has finally found its home at ProgCity Deep and gets a release complete with slammin' remixes by Anto Vitale. "Cover Letters" by Greece-based producer DSF is built around an irressistible beat enriched with sweet percussion, lovely strings and wicked spaced out keys, with an outstanding organ droppin' in after around two minutes that will drive you crazy. The 'Reprise Mix' gives the track a moodier edge with a slight deeper feeling. Anto Vitale takes it to an even deeper level, giving it a techy outfit. His 'Key-A-Pella' is a beatless take letting the synths and organs do the talk.
SOULFOOD presents WATERFALL - "Beach Music EP 2" (AX Music Records CD Promo)
AX Music continue to celebrate the summery season of the year with the second EP in their "Beach Music" series, offering three more tracks courtesy of Soulfood. All three tracks are pure deep house bliss, featuring beautiful keys over nicely crafted backing grooves that altogether create a groovy yet laidback feeling perfect for chilling.
CRAIG ALEXANDER - "Love American Style (Glenn Underground Remix) (Unified Records/CD Promo)
Glenn Underground is taking on Craig Alexander's "Love American Style" enlightened by a soulful vocal performance by Kimberly Askew, providing a wonderful rendition featuring a marvellous piano alongside melodic keys that are nicely arranged over a deep yet smooth percussion enriched backing groove, giving the song a laidback vibe.
Exclusive Preview: LEDESI - "Alright" (Matthias Heilbronn Mixes) (Verve/CD Promo)
Here we have another massive remix by Matthias 'Matty' Heilbronn revisiting the beautiful R&Bish "Alright" by Ledesi (from her Lost And Found album released just a few days ago), with the 'SoulFlower Mix' being a deep and groovy reworking that keeps things soulful from the beginning to the end, with a fierce groove leading the way for the sensitive vocals and wonderful keys. The 'PDP Mix' strips most of the vocals, letting the keys and an added organ create an irresistible vibe.
STEVEN STONE featuring SIBYLLE - "All I Need Is Love" (SP Records/CD Promo)
This truly soulful production by Steven Stone was originally released last year on Player Records. Here we have the unreleased 'Revival Remix' that keeps the soulful flavors of the original alive while taking it to deeper grounds, with melodic keys nicely accompanying the sweet and passionate vocals by Sibylle.
RHYTHM KINGS - "Twisted" (Soul Tonic/CD Promo)
Soul Tonic follow up the massive success of "Believe" (by Roberto De Carlo meets Steven Stone featuring Seyla) with "Twisted" courtesy of the Rhythm Kings. The original version is a groovy feel-good production spiced with funky flavors and featuring wicked keys alongside a soulful male vocal. Soularis provides an irresistible deeply thumpin' reworking that is led by great chords, while Richie Robinson gives the track a darker, more dirty sounding on his take.
JUSTIN MICHAEL featuring JASON LENT - "Dancefloor" (Swank Records CD Promo)
"Dancefloor" is the 2nd single lifted form Justin Michael's Everything debut album featuring singer Jason Lent who provides a passionate vocal performance. Michael himself reworks his funky flavored original into a nicely groovin' extended version with a great piano, while Raul Rincon taylors it into a stormin' peaktime monster. Newcomer M-Sol provides an uplifting take with beautiful melodic keys nicely arranged over a deeply thumpin' groove. Part two with more remixes will follow in a couple of weeks.
MARQUITO featuring DUANE HARDEN - "Face It Now" (Panevino Music Records/CD Promo)
Here we have another former Spirit Of House exclusive that gladly should see the light of the day soon. Marquito's "Face It Now" is a beautiful production on a retro tip with great arrangements and orchestration alongside a wonderful vocal performance. With its classy keys, strings, horns and the funktified backing groove, "Face It Now" has all it takes to become an instant classic. Panevino rework it into a deeply stormin' affair featuring irresistible keys that get to full effect on their dub that is perfect for late nite play. Lastly, Marquito's 'Late Nite Dub' is the pick for the bigger rooms with its catchy synth lines.

Wonderful reworking of this by Marques Houston’s marvellous R&B slow jam (lifted from his Veteran LP released last March) courtesy of Serge Negri who keeps the sweet and sensitive vibe created by Houston's vocals alive while adding a deeply thumpin' beat and great keys to turn it into a laidback house interpretation.
