We're kicking off things this
week with the instrumental "The Fifth
Dimension" by Osunlade which features cosmic strings over a tribalish
groove. This is played back to back with the poetic and spiritual "Spiritual
Life" by Steal Vybe featuring Rich Medina.
Next comes "Love is just a call away" by Abicah Soul featuring
Cei-Bei, the first Pick of the Week. Subtle house music with a
heartfelt spirituality. Get ready for some afro house vibes in form
of "Afro dew" by DSF, an exclusive preview we're prod to present.
The 2003 classic "Be Yourself" by Underground Dance Artists United For Life
featuring Joi Cardwell is back with new mixes by Agora Rhythm
giving it a trippy, outer-space feeling. Also included
is the unreleased orginal Blaze version. Meanwhile DFA take on "You
Don't Know"by Kierra 'Kiki' Sheard and add a laidback 4/4 house groove to
the song.
Cassio Ware's "Hot Baby - Go Go Dancer" was released originally back in
2000 and is back for more action with new mixes featuring a wicked organ and
spreads a true gospel feeling. This release also includes "It's Getting Hot In
Here", originally out on the now legendary Movin' Records.
The second Pick of the Week - "Vem Sambar" - comes courtesy of Tiger
Stripes and features Simone Moreno on vocals. This is pure uplifting
latin house with feel-good rhythms and a powerful vocal performance.
Refunkt Records have two releases ready to drop soon. "My One Love" by DJ
Jeroenski featuring Lex Empress is a funked-up house with a fiercely thumpin'
groove and a feel-good vibe. As for Righteous’concern, they
present a two track EP featuring the funky "Soul Clappin'" and the more
progressive "The DJ Plays".
"My Soul" by Billy vs. Jasfunk is yet another exclusive we have for
your ears. It features a wonderful saxopohone solo together with
jazzy keys and comes in various flavas ranging from laidback over
funky to peaktime grooves. Michael Fossati (Spirit of House)
