We getcha out of those usual spots like NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit and the likes for a quick ride to the capital of Georgia. A city which would make quite a name for itself in the history of the Afromerican society, being the hometown of the late Reverend Martin Luther King amongst others. But also quite a prolific place in terms of Black music should it be R&B, hip hop and (eventually) house, with people such as Chris Brann (Ananda Project), Justin & Kemit, not to mention Kai Yuri Alce who, with his 7 years residency at MJQ Concourse, keeps da vibe alive…

Would you mind having a few words as an introduction to where you're coming from, who you are and where you intend to go ?

Born in New York, learned in Detroit and live in Atlanta a 1/3 in each city. My intentions are as they always have been which is doin somethin’ I love doin’ and havin’ the abilty to do so. Which paly and promote the music I love.

Where to find you.and your current environment in terms of local scene/nightlife ?

I play weekly MJQ:DEEP ATL every Saturday now for the last seven years. The environment has very good for me here in Atlanta. It’s not the biggest but one of my favorites. Expected that huh !?

The way you work and your source of inspiration…

Music is mainly my inspiration, whether it be just hear sumthin’ or playin’ sumthin’ that inspire the reason to turn on the MPC and see what happens

Ihat can depend on so many things so I'll just say if it feels good to ya it must be to you. but hey I'm a sucker for beats and chords.

Of a good nite.

A good nite for me is when I'm the patron is just hearin’ the unexpected and hearin’ it put together and presented correctly. when I'm spinnin’ just when they're feelin’ me and I'm feelin’ them…

The way you'd like to be looked at…

As one who help this thing goin’ cuz’ the music I like is a dying breed that I know has a lot more too offer I want to do my part to make sure it's heard.

Sealed copy of "What About This Love" signed by Larry. Idon't have a worst I guess something I would rather forget..

Your perception of the current situation and the things which need to evolve…

I think I kind of stated that earlier that deep/soulful music is gettin’ less room in this world of dance. It's like were in the valley but I see our way up....

Your current projects…

I have vocal project to come out on Trackmode later this year, and some other prospects that will hopefully come to fruition 

The way you see Miami and what you expect from it.

Alchohol....and music and good time with friends in the business. Oh yeah, and play some records at Buck 15 on Thursday.

Any secret weapon of yours over there ?

There is a mix I did on Chez & Leroy Burgess that will hopefully see the light of day.
