Hey peeps,
So here we are
at last, back in action, our headz full of aural flavas and images + bodies
totally exhausted after a week of absolute craziness by the sunny shores of
Florida. Wishin’ those of you who didn’t do it had some good time while being
provided with our updates, meanwhile those of you who did it have had a safe
trip back home.
We would first
like to thank the numerous people who’ve heavily contributed to enlight our
staying in Miami this year, beginning with our partner, David Prince and
all his team at the M3 Summit, those who’ve welcomed us at their
parties : Zuleica and Annette @ MAW, Toni T @ Defected,
jojo, Teddy & Bic Flores @ Therapy, Kevin Hedge, Mel
Cheren and Adam Cruz @ West End Party, John Gambuzza and
Jellybean Benitez @ Ain’t Nothing But A House Party, Ron D @ Flute,
Julius the Madthinker & The 3°Global posse and the ones we may
have forgotten. Not to mention the awesome amount of those who’ve shown us signs
of support over there.
This Miami week
was one of the craziest ones we’ve ever seen so far, from the big if not silly
amount of events from a day to another to the wet heat reaching its peak last
Saturday, this added to tons of new pieces of music (most of it on CD this year
as also mentioned by our Swiss friend/partner Michael Fossati of
spiritofhouse.com).
Although the
situation is what it is in terms of sales, we’ve no doubt entered a new era with
many people firmly going back to songwrtiting as opposed to those numerous
sampled tracks we’ve been provided with for the last 10 years. Expect new
projects (albums) to come from people such as Dennis Ferrer, Tyrone
Francis, MAW (in October with a 1st single to be released in May),
Anthony Nicholson, Larry Heard, PïrahnaHead (next month),
Malik Alston, Jeff Mills and many others we’ll keep you informed
about as time goes. But also an extensive review of the event here on IDMW.Com,
our usual gallery in the days to come in conjunction with
digitalradioshow.com. Not to
mention some special video footage courtesy of
sounds-up.com and a whole bunch
of new mixes to appear very soon. + Last but not least, the awaited launch of
our record shop online in the weeks to come.
Stay tuned,
Frederic
