Due to the success of our series of DJ profiles in Miami (see our pages of the likes on our M3 section), we’ve decided to maintain them alive the rest of the year, welcoming today a young lady who’s been for much in the exposure of those vibes we love while welcoming some of their best generators at her Bliss nights in Toulouse. Currently keepin’ them alive at another spot in the same area, we provide you with a wider introduction to what sh’e into prior to her DJ appearance this Sat Apr.16 at La Mezzanine de l’Alcazar in Paris. Would you mind having a few words as an introduction to where you're coming from, who you are and where you intend to go.

I’m hailing from Nice. Been spinning for a bit more than 10 years and the only thing I hope is to have enough energy and motivation to be there in a 5 years period time.

Where to find you, and your current environment in terms of local scene/nightlife ? Où te trouver ? Ton environnement en matière de vie nocturne ?

I’m currently based in Toulouse. As for what concerns the local nightlife environment, I would say that it’s amost nuts. There’s only 3 of us dealing with deep and soulful sounds. Fred from Deepsounds, JC from Digitalradioshow.com and myself !

Kerri of course. I’m so deeply into the things he has accomplished along the years. DJ Deep in regards to his commitment into the promotion of this music as well as the view of a perfectionist  which is his while mixng. 

The way you work and your source of inspiration…

My source of inspiration ? People. When I come to work at les Coulisses which isn’t necessarily a place dedicated to those musical selections of mine and see people movin’ their heads or stompin’ their feet, I end up telling myself that we’ve reached at least one step  

Your definition of a good piece of music.

 The energy that you can feel out of it, but also the lyrics which to me are as essential and the general spirit…

Of a good nite.

Simple and open minded people comin’ for dancing… (very rare).

The way you'd like to be looked at.

It’s the one of the people around me that comes first. I sometimes experience things boosting me, like this mail which I’ve received from a regular to my sets who eventually told me that what I was doing was sort of useless although being courageous. That’s the kind of mail that made me go for another 6 months… 

Your best/worst souvenir.

That Sunslice after party where I ended up sharing the decks with Kerri, havin’ both Dennis Ferrer, JoVonn and Josh Milan singing in the mean time. An incredible thing, reaaly…

My worst ? Being in the obligation to turn the music off that same night… 

Your perception of the current situation and the things which need to evolve.

 None really. I don’t want to get into any explanation as what concerns my view of the things. Everything becomes very difficult. I’ve dedicated 10 years of my life serving my passion. I’m doing everything I can to keep on but it’s quite hard. Like many people, I’ve come into many periods of doubt, but I feel like this music is in me, giving me a lot of excitement, but also pain.. I’ve noticed along the years that I had to cease torturing myself. The people around me are here who support me and my daughter helps me to relocate the things at the right place. There are more serious topics in life than wondering where the future of house music is. I keep on doing what I like and that’s it.

Your current projects.

Keep on doing what I do which, to me, is already quite ambitious by the times we’re lviing nowadays…

Do they really know where they get their feet in ? Staying true to whatever they are as well as being humble are to me already a point
