Politics Of Dancing: STATE OF A(WAR)ENESS
Posted on Wednesday, September 07 @ 19:17:57 CEST by mfsb

The Politics Of Dancing

So here we are, ready for what is to be our third year in activity (starting from next November) and I honestly gotta say that I don’t have the foggiest idea about how it’s going to be as too many things just don’t simply depend on us. Starting with the current technological revolution and its numerous consequences on an already fragile balance as far as the music which gather us here as concerned. But also the lack of real commitment of many of those who pretend supporting it. Not to mention all those necessary investments in time, energy and money that we have to do on our will to provide you with the most acurate space. In other words, I guess we could say that we are at some state of war which you gotta be clearly aware of…

C’mon, once again… We gotta be total fools keepin’ on thinking the way most of us do that everything’s fine in the best world with THE system havin’ nearly reached its main goal while reducing most of us as individuals as opposed to the ancestory notions of tribes, then families. It’s easier to divide than unite, said Roman Emperor Julius Ceasar more than 2,000 years ago and the current situation should aptly show each of us how those who’ve secured to have the power have made theirs his philosophy. As a direct result, we now see a whole bunch of people totally left to their own devices, trying to survive by any means necessary, who’ve ended up forgetting that there’s no better solution than gathering eneregies and joining forces in front of such a situation.

Examples of what has to be described as the result of our global passivity are numerous. From the Nippons keeping on killing whales for reputed scientific reasons to the recent decision taken by the U.S. Government to exploit the Alaska petrol resources. Not to mention the daily destruction of the Amazonian forest and, to a lighter extend, all those TV programs, about which every single of us looks like to complain when questionned about their quality, without stopping wa-tching them once arrived home…

Some of you may say that we’re far away from our initial goal, but when having a deeper look, isn’t that that the life we’re currently living is the result of all those interactions ? Enuff of hiding ourselves behind our TV screens which, by playing their role of filters, have litterally transformed the reality that some of us are living into some 24/7 live show ! This leading us back to the same Julius Ceasar and his famous formulas such as : ‘’People are unhappy ? Then give’em bread and circus !!!’’

Some others might be tempted to think that nothing can be done, but let me humbly remind you how the future of our planet depends on each of us individually speaking. It starts with the car we’re driving next door for almost any reason when we could get there with the subway or some bus. It then keeps on with many of us avoiding to select our daily garbages and it sometimes might end up with terrorism with some of our politicians thinking that what is the way of life of the country they’re coming from can be the one of the others.

What we oughtta point out as weapons of massive destruction are in first misinformation and unawareness ; the latest being the responsability of every single one of us.

Many of us are complaing on their repsective sides about the current situation but, once again, what do we do apart from reproducing our same ol’ habits ??? It’s the proper of the things to change on an everyday basis, then let’s think about it and adapt ourselves if not preview them instead of waiting on most cases til it’s too late. We’re complaining about the bad situation of the business ? Have we really done everything we possibly could ? It’s as well so ironical to point our fingers on technology and claim that it’s also the cause of many bad things around or consider that loneliness is one of the major disease of our Western socieities, when we’ve never been offered so many possibilities to share the word and communicate. But do we really want to communicate and, to a wider extend, do we still now what communication is ? This, once more leading us to the Latin roots of the aforementioned and its prefix (com) derived from the word ‘’cum’’ which means… with !!! And the most funny thing, following this path, is that most of today’s music should then not be considered as communication anymore, being made by a majority of people living on their own !

As some artists already said on these pages, being aware is the only way to know about who we are, where we’re coming from and what we’re up to. We’re not doubt facing a crucial problem. It’s really time for each of us to think about finding a solution in order to avoid what should be considered as nothing but a self destruction.

We at IDMW.Com are more than ever ready to pay our contribution on that sense, but there’s nothing we can pretend to achieve without you.

Be aware, share the word ! MFSB
