These are the things we imagine the way they are on one hand and those which are a part of the reality on the other one as there’s the way we’d like the things to be and they way they end up occuring. With, inbetween, a difference which stands like an ocean. Gotta say that if I hardly see what we can do about it as individuals, nothing is to change at all if we don’t do anything as a community.

Some people might think I’ve turned onto an old fashoned man and I don’t see how I could blame them judging by the way our society (the French one to be more precise) treats the ones who’re approaching their fifties (I’m 47 by the way !). Maybe time has come for me at the end of the day to now live with my souvenirs and let some younger people beginning where I would stop with some reputedly more approrpriate view, although the growing amount of you coming to this site – we’ve scored approx 10 times more visits in August than in January – would tend to prove how we respond to a clear demand.

If being asked about the current environment, many actors over there would tell you how doubtuous they feel, with the impression of being litteraly left to their own devices despite their obvious search for a better world and the energy they spend on trying to keep on being who they are. The situation is tough peeps as every day going strengthens what has to be taken as a threat against our own identity and subsequently liberty with the progressive disappearence of alternative.

Businessmen as opposed to people with a true sense of artistry have progressively been given the power to decide with the result we know in terms of current releases as well as media programs and there’s not that much to be happy with/proud of unless figuring that there’s no other choice which, to me, would be the equivalent to be condamned to walk on (rail)tracks til the end of our lives. And I’m not even talking about the said specialised publications which, for most of them, have lost their supposed sense of responsability in regards to the youngsters while turning the use of drugs and the recourse to porn as a way of living.

Don’t ever think I’m conservative, that’s not the point ! It’s the absolute freedom left to everyone to live the way he/she wants, meanwhile it’s our responsibility as a reputed space of (public) expression not to promote anything that could end up being any form of threat to anyone’s life.
