Get yourselves ready for one amongst the craziest weeks to come here on IDMW.Com in terms of content as far as the Miami festivities are concerned. Naaaah, we’re not to talk about the usual bullsh** which you’re up to read almost wherever you like, but about some of those keepin’ da real vibe alive as opposed to all that f***** dope around that many of our collegues dare to call house if not music!
Although many of us by the time readin’ this are ready to embark to the sunny shores of Florida, with their headz full of hope and dreams, let us NOT forget the hard times our community is living as far as diversity is concerned and, to a wider extend, its own survival. Let's NOT forget neither how, despite being what it is, Miami is no more than a short escape-ade. In other words, a 1/52 of a whole year!!! The 51 remaining being a day to day battle against struggle for many of us as opposed to all those prefabricated acts tooted as today’s talents by most of the media including some inside the house community itself!!!
We’re about to be the craziest coz’ we feel like it’s our absolute duty to support those we truly believe in. We’re about to be the craziest because we feel like someone has to in regards to the uncomparable pleasure they provide us with their works. We’re about to be the craziest because THEIR fight is OUR fight, because THEIR ‘house’ is OUR ‘house’. We’re about to be the craziest first and foremost for them, but also you, supporting them while coming to these pages…
As far as this whole thing is concerned, the festivities have already begun for us, putting the final touches to what you’ll be delivered in the coming week, beginning with Michael Fossati’s Spiritofhouse.12’’ column and a selection of some of the hottest tunes awaited around due to hit your screens this Monday March 20. Then you’ll be provided with a long chat that we’ve had with a respected American alter ego of us reknown for the relevance of his observations as the opener of a series of daily interviews that we’ve managed to have with some of the most talented people around. Not to mention regular updates to be sent by our local correspondants. And as if it wasn’t enuff, we’ve decided honour one of the (if not THE) most gifted and prolific producer of the said disco era with a tribute awaited this Thursday.
Whatever you’re up to - in Miami or not - we wish you a wonderful week...
