Earth, Wind & Fire, Fat Larry’s Band, George Duke, Narada Michael Walden, The Crusaders, and the list goes on of those acts/producers who while adding horns to funk have given a bit that extra light coming from the jazz. Despite being mainly remembered for their ‘Just Can’t Give You Up’ classic which would be reshaped 10 years later by UK outfit Life On Earth on Republic (one of Dave Lee/Joey Negro’s first labels), this NYC group has continuously released good music for their time being, recruiting vocalist Freddie Jackson for their third and last Full Moon album in 1981 including this quite hard to find killer groove on its original edition.
