On Tuesday May 30, Giant Step, Dance Ritual & GBH present NUYORICAN SOUL SESSIONS 1.
 
This very special event is following the footsteps of the now legendary “Nuyorican Soul” launch party at The Supper Club, NYC in 1997.
 
That night housed the “dons” of New York dance music establishment - “dressed to impress Nuyorican style!” - while getting down to the sounds of George Benson, India, Jazzy Jeff, Tito Puente and Roy Ayers plus the rest of the album’s all star cast.   
 
This evening will feature a rare NY appearance of Louie Vega & Kenny Dope playing together as Masters At Work along with Sacred Rhythm’s Joe Claussell of Body & Soul fame, plus a very special LIVE performance by Luisito Quintero as he performs selections from his debut album, Percussion Maddness (Rapster/K7)– highlighting re-creations of hits by the late great Tito Puente, Ray Barretto and Fela Kuti!  He will be joined on stage with special guests Blaze, Anane, Francie Mbappe and additional surprises!!
