Well, you've guessed it, another of those
unofficial collaborations in perspective… In other words, the result of the work
of some studio addict(s) – no more info about him/them except the fact that he/they
respond under the Groove Finder moniker - on and old and most probably
forgotten song with the usual effects of the time going.
Nearly three decades since its first
appearence on CBS Records and the girls – Jeanette, Wanda &
Sheila Hutchinson – sound fresh as ever, rollin' like hell over this jazzy
funk groove originally produced by Earth, Wind & Fire's Maurice White.
The good news, unlike a vast majority of current revamps of that sort, resulting
in an instant (disco) appeal and a post-production that has managed to keep the
original vibe alive, if not transcending it, bringing us back to the souvenir of
some Narada Michael Walden's works at the time…
