Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal! So everyone's favourite sporting tournament kicks off today - with our dual nationality we will of course be cheering on both En-ger-land and Brazil yet whoever you support we wish your team the best of luck!
Some huge games happening this week not least England Vs Paraguay tomorrow and Brazil Vs Croatia on Tuesday. Some outrageous predictions flying around Far Out towers with talk of Australia and USA passing to the quarter finals!
Grupo Batuque's futebol-crazy samba album is in the stores now and the answer to the previous Newsletter quiz to win copies was the New York Cosmos. To give you a little taster of the album please follow this link. You will need Windows Media Player to play this video file. Many thanks to Guy Bingley.

CUSTOM BLUE 7"
Championed by Nick Luscombe as 'possibly his favourite single of the year so far' and also awarded the leftfield single of the month plaudit from IDJ magazine, the latest in Far Out's highly-prized 7" series is shaping up to be the most well received yet! Available from goyamusic.com and our webshop from next week it's a superb two tracker from 2 south east London ne'er do wells Alex Pilkington and Simon Shippey who hit the big-time with their debut CD a few years back. Since then they have been skulking round S E London planning their return and this is where it starts: side 'a' is a rampant slice of psychedelic guitar dance-floor narcosis and 'b' a blissful vintage sounding folk number produced by Far Out's very own Mark Pritchard.
SABRINA MALHEIROS - VIBRASONS Sabrina Malheiros' long awaited remix CD touches down at the end of June. 'Vibrasons' is a collection of tracks taken from her first album that have been remixed by all manner of dance music producers inc Nicola Conte, Kenny Dope, Quantic, Incognito and Spiritual South.
AZYMUTH TOUR A MASSIVE SUCCESS A big thank-you to all the promoters and venues who made the recent Azymuth tour possible. Some truly spectacular shows, from small to large, with highlights in Minden, Zagreb, Notting Hill and Edinburgh. We've been promised a recording of the Departure Lounge show in Edinburgh so in a few weeks this will be available via webstream. Biggest thank you to all those who made it down to the shows. Classic renditions of Last Summer In Rio, O Lance and Dead Limmertz made this a tour that none of us here will forget!

OTHER NEWS Thurs June 15th also sees the second match in Michael Rutten's radio football competition. Far Out are pitted against Jazzmate from Croatia for a serious clash of the titans. Far Out's mix comes courtesy of DJ Lacerate and features plenty of turntable trickery alongside new tracks from the 'Ole Ola ' album and plenty of old-skool Brazilian rarities. Miss this game at your peril.
