IDM News: DJ PIERRE ALBULM RELEASE TEMPORARILY ON HOLD

The publicity campaign for DJ Pierre’s debut solo album, “DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid Project” is on hold until the album’s distribution issues are settled and we have a firm street date and music for y’all to check out. All of us appreciate you sticking with us, keeping the news flowing, showing up at gigs and promise to be back in your faces as soon as we’re ready to rock.
Trust that “DJ Pierre’s Afro Acid Project” is going to be a killer! The latest new is that Pierre was just in Chicago with Cajmere, putting the finishing touches on a remake of “Acid Tracks.” One of the most influential House Music records of all time, the original, by Phuture (DJ Pierre, Spanky and Herb J) was released on Trax Records in 1987.
DJ Pierre says, "I really believe the “Afro Acid Project” is the end result of everything I've done over the past 20 years. It's my heart and It's really been 20 years in the making. I refuse to take shortcuts on the production or the distribution end because that is unacceptable at this point. I have everyone knocking down my door to release this album already...some out of frustration, others out of anticipation and that's ok because you know what...nothing happens before it's time and at the right time all the pieces will fall into place.Thank you for hanging in there with me...you won't be dissapointed. Afro Acid all the way!”
Meanwhile, Pierre’s doing the planet rock, launching a string of Afro Acid events across the US and Europe beginning July 28 in Moscow. Future Afro Acid parties will follow into 2007, featuring among others, UK supa-producer, Seamus Haji, Tom “Superchumbo” Stephan, Chicago’s Green Velvet and Behrouz.
