[re:jazz] will present their new album Expansion in a very unique concert. They invited Expansion guest vocalist Alice Russell. The British neosoul star is hugely in demand as a vocalist and has gained an enviable reputation as one of the hottest singers in the UK right now. "Alice Russell possesses a voice of such jaw-dropping beauty, it commands you to sit up and take notice." Straight No Chaser wrote about her. Besides a couple of [re:jazz] songs Alice Russell will perform songs of her new album My Favorite Letters together with [re:jazz]. Jan Hagenkötter, head of INFRACom! records, and Matthias Vogt (Motorcitysoul) will support the event with their DJ-sets, Markus Bader will create his atmospheric live visuals.

3. New [re:jazz] album Expansion out in Nov. + limited 7" preview
They've done it again! With the twelve songs on Expansion, their even better third album, the septet [re:jazz] achieves the next step in its very successful journey. Presenting for the first time brilliant own compositions besides transitions of favourite club tunes from days gone by. Expansion is also brilliant for its selection of guest artists, the British soul voice Alice Russell, Ernesto and 76 year old legendary Ack van Rooyen on flugelhorn. The third [re:jazz] album is a sensible and sensual entity, bringing infinite joy.
Very limited and very tasty seven inch from the [re:jazz] third instalment of classic clubs tracks acoustically transformed. Coldcut's mesmerising 'People Hold On' gets respectfully jazzified, and even Jon More from Coldcut has given his full approval for this little jazz masterpiece. Accompanied by the Tobias Kremer Big Band and containing ample amounts of swing and groove this tasty little seven inch is sure to be a collector's item very soon.
Coldcut's Jon More: "I'm happy for you to cover our tune."
4. Third "Jazznotjazz" Session (August 06) is online - Hosted By Jan Hagenkötter
Show vol. 3 is online here. Jan Hagenkötter feat. the trombone and the trumpet... it is all about the sound of Big Bands this time incl. a new [re:jazz] title, Alexandria Lorez, Kenny Clarke and Francy Boland Big Band, Herbert, Mark Murphy vs. Phoneheads, Paul Anka and others.
5. Livestream - Jhelisa Live on the North Sea Jazzfestival presenting "A Primitive Guide to Being There"
