DEMOCUSTICO

After a dismal August that seemed more like a wet and windy April, the summer is well and truly back on the streets of London with the mercury hitting a toasty 21 degrees. Hopefully this Indian summer will last throughout September yet even if it doesn't Far Out's next CD release from Democustico will keep those Indian vibes going. Fusing Brazilian samba and folk with Indian vibes and samples, 'Democustico' is set for release on the 16th October. Sounding like Milton Nascimento jamming with the Thievery Corporation in New Delhi, 'Democustico' touches on bhangra and bossa ('Grito'), folk and trip-hop ('Nunca Never') and 60s sitar-funk & samba ('Vaga-Lume'). The different styles combine symbiotically to produce a coherent world musical fusion with vocalist Gabriela Geluda's mellifluous vocals joining the dots from Brazil to London via India. 'Democustico' will be released 16th October and sound samples will be available on-line soon.

4HERO PRESENTS...BRAZILIKA

In the meantime '4hero presents Brazilika' is now available as a download or on CD and Marc Mac's heavyweight selection of Brazilian classics past, present and future is sounding particularly good in this late summer sunshine. Featuring an exclusive new track from Marc (Natures Plan 'Broken Samba'), this edition of 'Brazilika' contains a barrage of Brazilian breaks and slamming sambas all mixed-up by one of the UK's most in-demand producers. VINYL NEWS

'Broken Samba' is now available on 12" vinyl or as a download from our website www.faroutrecordings.com. Both original and electric mixes are already being hammered on the radio waves by DJ's Rob Da Bank, Benji B, Patrick Forge and The Unabombers.

We are currently sold out of Sabrina Malheiros' album sampler but limited stocks are still available of the Ennio Styles carnival mixes of Grupo Batuque's 'Batucada Maneira.' Our next 12" offers a fine taster of Democustico's long player and also includes quality mixes from Seiji of Bugz in the Attic Productions. Watch this space.
