SONG 4 LETTA
(white)

Another white label due for imminent release
leading us further more back to the ancient time. Bloody hell, when is this
going to stop ??? Poor us, I mean the supposed reviewers, havin' to get
ourselves dressed in the suit of some search engine in order to find the genesis
of the current production !!! At least, this means that the guys who've done
this have a themselves a certain sense of curiosity, if not sacred amount of
culture as we have to go back to 1967 to find the origins of that revamp…
A
song originally entitled "Banoyi", taken from the repertoire of one of the most
talented (South) African singer of all the times… Guess you may have a better
idea of who she is while knowing that she's worked alongside Hugh Masekela
not to mention Jacko givin to the latest his cue on "Liberian Girl",
although she might be better known for the memorable "What Is Wrong With Groovin'"…
Yup, no one else here but Letta Mbulu seing her work brilliantly
revisited by mysterious people who undoubtly have the sense of the (good) groove,
delivering the emotional and the sensuality (check out the keys) on this
jazzy/funk breakbeat orientated resurrectionon one hand, meanwhile providing us
with a house driven beat alternative version that should cause quite an effect
on the floors when getting played in the clubs. Awesome shot !
