To
celebrate the launch of our new tech-house label WaveTec, we went through the Wave
catalogue and chose the hottest, hardest tech tracks that we've ever released.
Then we put them in the capable hands of
Mike Callaghan and Rob Sperte to blend into one super-smooth
uber-mix. Now we're ready to present WaveTec's very first release, the mix
CD
WaveTec One : The Miles From Mars Mix ! featuring Tracks from Floppy
Soundz, Marino Berardi, D'Malicious, annex, Matthias
Heilbronn, Boyd Jarvis, François K. and Phantom Power
amongst others.
WaveTec, as a label, will be dedicated to
the exploration of new dimension in electronic dance music, and represents yet
another opportunity for Wave Music to expand our sound and break new ground.
To start things off properly, we'll be
dropping our first 12 inch on March 23rd. The stunning 'Alter Ego' from Kats
and Styles collab project '9 Mile Town'. Squealing tones are stretched, bent
and blended to create warpedwaves of sound that crash across the track.
The whole sound seems to shift and twist together, moving like one living object
and bringing the listener right along with it. This track is unique, forward
thinking and HOT.
