With contributions by artists such as Max Beesley, Lalomie Washburn, Omar, Mica Paris and Misty Oldland to name but a few, Oisin Little and former Galliano bassist Ernie McKone’s co-founded label Boogie Back Records happened to be one of the most respected forces emerging out of the UK burgeoing underground jazz/dance scene in the nineties. This 12’’, as you may guess, makes no exception, fusing hip hop rhymes alike over an infectious groove and a crazy orchestration which I couldn’t help myself licensing on the first volume of the Groovetown series which I compiled for BMG/Jazz back in 1995! As a matter of fact, Kinda rappin' on a jazz cut, Blow Mista Saxman, blow which are the words of da man himself say about everything to expect here. In other words: DOPE! MFSB
