10p / $7 / (Hip Hop, Latin, Classics, Soul, Funk)
Now stretching his residency into its 6th year, Bobbito continues to keep the last Monday of every month at APT a solid vibe with everything from party jams you almost forgot how much you loved to hip hop and Latin music you've never heard. He's a pioneer who's just getting better with age. Tonight Kool Bob welcomes Joan Morgan, author of When Chickenheads Come Home To Roost , to select tracks and Chef Mona Garcia (aka Bob's Mummy) to serve up the food he was raised on.

I Love Baile Funk welcomes Stereotyp and Al Haca Soundsystem (G-Stone, !K7, Klein, Austria) with residents Sujinho, Cassiano, and Morsy.
10p / free / (Baile Funk, Crunk, Hip-Hop, Ragga)
I Love Baile Funk returns to APT to slam it out once again. This time, they're bringing in Stereotyp for a rare New York set. Stereo's DJ sets and productions are bass heavy, 5th element-type futuristic, and sonically bent. His now classic G-Stone debut entitled My Sound (from 2002) was a foray into the future of Dancehall, showing the possibilities of a sonic future that is still due to arrive. His next album, 2004's Phase III (Klein), in which he joined forces with Al-Haca, is probably the most advanced take on Dancehall and Hip Hop on the market today. Beyond his releases, he's collaborated with Cappadonna of Wu Tang, Daddy Freddy, Lady Saw, Hawk Eye, Ras B and Spectacular among others. Tonight he's teaming up with Sujinho and Cassiano, dropping the (unusually) usual super-high-energy mix of Baile Funk, Deep South Crunk and other assorted shakers of the Junk in your Trunk. Killing it. That's just what they're doing from open to close. Morsy drops tracks throughout the evening as well.

Cooperative Sleaze welcomes Chris Duckenfield (SWAG, Duckbeats, UK) with Stadenco (Hosewerk NYC), and residents Peter Anthony & Justin R
9p / $7 with rsvp to coop@aptwebsite.com / $10 doors / open bar by Krait Beer from 9p to 10p / (wobbly house, techno)
Cooperative Sleaze brings its second big event of the month to APT with a DJ set from the talented Chris Duckenfield of SWAG and Duckbeats fame. While working for Warp records in the early 90s, Chris, from Sheffield, UK, met Richard Brown and formed the legendary production duo SWAG; the pair have produced a string of essential dance floor records ever since that enjoy the kind of appeal to DJ's of all sorts that is rarely seen in the house music world. Chris also runs the stellar Odori label, and more recently started a solo project and imprint dubbed Duckbeats. The label has released some of the most exciting off kilter house of the past couple of years, and Chris recently remixed a Jesse Rose & Sinden tune for Rose's Made to Play label under his Duckbeats moniker. The extremely talented NYC fixture Stadenco of Hosework also joins residents Peter Anthony & Justin R to round out the evening. This event will feature an audio livecast on 90hz.org for our friends around the globe to listen in on the fun.

Music for your inner sybarite, the wise, the silly, the engaged, the deep end. Kane is joined tonight by Bruce Tantum, the downtown staple whose sets reflect a deep knowledge and love for the New York scene in which he's played a major role for many years.

Behind the Groove with DJ Spinna
10p / $5 / (Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Classics)
DJ Spinna is something of an anomaly in music. A humbling example of what it takes to truly succeed within the framework of multiple fields. A steadfast work ethic, an obsessively extensive vinyl library and the willingness to pursue the full extents of his roots (Funk, Soul and Jazz), foundation (Hip-Hop) and future (Electronic/Dance music) with no restraints have made Spinna one of the most successful and well-loved DJ's in not just New York but the word. Tonight continues Behind the Groove, his monthly first Monday residency at APT.
