BENEFIT TOUR FOR CANADA-TIBET COMMITTEE: VISIT OF HIS HOLINESS THE DALAI LAMA TO OTTAWA APRIL 2004

Montreal, Qc. (March 18, 2004) - Gotsoul & Therapy kick off an important three day tour to support the Canada-Tibet Committee's (CTC) invitation to host his Holiness the Dalai Lama's imminent visit to Ottawa from Apr. 21 to 24, 2004. Our objective is to bolster support for the "Tibet China Negotiation Campaign" launched by the CTC.  This initiative calls upon the Prime Minister of Canada to broker a negotiated solution between representatives of the Dalai Lama and China on the issue of Tibet.  To date, more than 130 Members of Parliament have declared their support of this campaign....

The Gotsoul / "Therapy Free Tibet" Tour begins Wednesday March 24th at Mercury Lounge (56 Byward, Ottawa, Ontario), Thurs March 25th at Stereobar (856 Ste. Catherine E., Montreal, Quebec), Fri. March 26th at Sudbury (99 Sudbury, Toronto, Ontario). The Gotsoul & therapy family headed by jojoflores, bic, Stephane Lacroix & Misayo join hands in collaboration with sister cities, Ottawa and Toronto. Canadian counterparts (Artists, DJ's and Promoters) include; Lance Baptiste & Andrew Carter (Mercury Lounge, Ottawa), Rise Ashen & Trevor Walker (fossilfuel records, Ottawa), King Sunshine (Soul Motion, Toronto), Flirt Entertainment and Plus 1 (Toronto). Talented Canadian Artists, Disc Jockeys and Promoters within the three cities welcome British sensation  Shaun Escoffery (Oyster Music, UK) A percentage of proceeds from the door and sales of selected merchandise will contribute to the CTC -a non-profit organization run by volunteers and funded entirely by individual membership and donations. It is the unique generosity and kindness of our donors and volunteers that will enable us to properly host His Holiness during his visit to Canada and to continue striving towards the non-violent resolution of the Tibet issue. This benefit series brings together a host of established artists, djs and promoters in their respective cities bridging a common love and respect for culture, community, peace and diversity with music.
