The
18th Soul Train Awards which have taken place last Saturday at L.A.'s
International Cultural Center Auditorium, have seen
R.Kelly, Janet Jackson,
OutKast and Beyonce as this year's big winners...
Janet
picked up an Award for Outstanding Career Achievement despite all the trouble
she caused with that breast baring affair at the Superbowl, meanwhile R.Kelly,
who's currently facing child porn charges in his home state of Illinois, has won
the Male Awards for Outstanding Career Achievement and Best R&B/Soul Album for
Chocolate Factory. Atlanta-based band, Outkast had also a good
nite, winning R&B/Soul or Rap Album of the Year for Speakerboxxx/The Love
Below and the Best Video prize for "Hey Ya!" before sharing the Entertainer
of the Year Award with Beyonce, who picked up the Award for Best R&B/Soul
Album (female) for Dangerously In Love.
