08/23/07 Middle Eastern Blues On the night of April 5th 2007 while in bed surrendering into our ritual of crossings, I began my journey unto a different place. Only moments before entering the first chamber of dark matter, out of nowhere I was interrupted by a blinding yellowish light which was then followed by explosive sounds, there were then cries and screams that could only come from pain and suffering. Only for a moment aware that my body was lying still without an inch of movement: my spirit began to rise, it then morphed to a scene onto some dimly lit street where I found myself following a trail of blood that was flowing like water through the cracks of the cobble stone pavements, I began to feel the breeze of terror created by an army of people franticly running towards my direction fleeing for their lives. At that moment not fully aware that I was only a visitor in the form of a delusion I ran over to help a woman who tripped and fell over a scrap of bombshell metal. She was carrying her five children drenched in blood and hysterically yelling out the name of man who seemed to be her husband, who was himself occupied. He was assisting others while at the same time doing all he could to protect his family until a temporary place of shelter was discovered – then having no choice, but to leave them again to continue the fight of an unjust battle - one with no end in sight. I reached over to grab the woman - my hands went through her body- failing to touch a thread of cloth, it was at that very moment that I realized that I was a living ghost who was a part of a nightmare. Desperately struggling to wake up out of this horrible dream, I was held back by the wind and the rumbling of the helicopters hovering from above, accompanied by the sounds of bullets rickershay-ing - hitting anything and everything in their path – soon after the sounds of agony and sirens began to dominate the air as they just kept getting louder and louder. Finally I managed to escape the terror that found itself into my consciousness, as my spirit began to descend back into my frozen body, not a second after my eyes opened guilt would consume my soul. Unable to verbally speak about the effect that this horrifying vision has on me, I instead found the strength to express it in the form of Music.
