Havin’ the very first release from this newly launched UK label welcomed as our Single Of The Week has nuttin’ of a surprise, coming from a structure which would make itself a name while being firmly associated to quality on the PR front, led by die hard activist Sarah Foote (You know? Our very own Sarah!!!). On one hand, The Super-Phonics, embodying this long tradition of UK live acts such as Incognito and the Brand New Heavies with a strong line-up of musicians and an album freshly released on Japanese label Poney Canyon. One the other, one of the most promising Transatlantic pair of talents made of Julian Bendall (Bah Samba) and Club Shelter producer Filsonik equally awaited with an album under the Bahsonik banner on Syam. As a result, a brilliant combination which sees the crying interpretation of female vocalist Miss Lucy Jules taken to that kind of rare level with the enlightment of extremely subtle arrangements putting the whole into a chillin’ deep soul era.
