Damned whatever happened to Carl Macintosh & Co? Sort of shut down in flames, like many other UK acts such as Soul II Soul, Omar and Mica Paris on their attempts to break worldwide, under the guidance of the US execs of their respective labels… Signs of protectionnism? Could somehow well be. But the good news is that the originators of the so called Brit soul back in the daze look set to come back soon (refering to Carl’s myspace page), following an appearence form the latest a year ago at the Southport Weekender. The opportunity, as a reminder, to pay them our tribute with this absolute soul’n’jazzy corker released in 1990, with post-production by the likes of David Morales.
