So question (for those obviously numerous who’ve forgotten about this, should it be both producers as record execs): what makes a piece of music off the hook ??? Well the response is nowhere else but here! An unmissable hook over an infectious groove made of the right balance of elements such as an identifiable rhythm line, a horn section, and a phat bassline with the enlightment of strings, being nuttin else but the basis of funk. This with the addition of appropriate vocalists (and God knows of those ladies both representing a generation of divas on their respective arts are!!!). Not to mention the production work, coming courtesy of DJ/producer Matthias Heilbronn as far as these extra unreleased reworks are concerned, with the potential of putting the funk Goddess to where she was back in the daze, rockin’ the dancefloors.
