Here we go again both with this cut – but the original version this time taken from the recently released As I Am album – and the one who’s remixed it as he also did the Colton Ford rendition with, no need to say, the same acuracy. Initially a ballad, Mrs Alicia Keys current # 1 in the charts gets a Caribbean flavour under the Matty’s SF MS Edit which, although labellized as reggae on the press release, seems to me closer to that French Antillas rhythm known as biguine, even though on a downtempo tip and the result is a real delight. Meanwhile the Matty’s Patta De Perro Mix is another of those peaktime stomper built around a destroying synth line over an irresistible groove, completing quite an impressive series by the likes of Matthias Heilbronn… MFSB
