TWENNYNINE
featuring LENNY WHITE
Fancy Dancer
Elektra/Promo |
How many are those pieces of music which would make their way onto History by the likes of A man whose ears had no equal??? We gotta go back to the golden era where a handful of radios in the US and UK – not to mention the pirates such as Caroline, Atlantis and Noordzee – were simply doin’ their supposed job of putting new music to the ears of the crowd with the help of broadcasters who had the sense of artistry. Can’t help myself remembering of that famous One-O-Sven-Point-Five WBLS number-one-for-your-ears back in the beginning of the eighties where we – the listeners – were brought from an aural delight to another by the likes of the late Frankie Crocker. This cool jazz/funk-influenced groove being NO exception, seing Twennynine and jazzman Lenny White exploring territories alla George Duke. No doubt how we fancied this at the time. MFSB
