Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough
(Joe Gibbs Music) |
Is that famous thing named globalization by the ‘well thinkers’ of all kinds to justify the current diseases of the economy a today’s fact ??? Frankly speakin’, sounds to me a bullshit, refering to a certain Marco Polo who – should this be reminded ? - opened the so called famous Spice Route in the… 13th Century!!! Ad I’m not even talkin’ bout those ancient Roman Emperors adventures in the said uncivilized world back then!!! As a direct consequence, music would become nuttin but the result of back & forth between the different cultures, from flamenco to fado and the list goes on including the contemporary vibes. Reggae being no exception, getting eventually extra food from soul, disco and funk such as this cover version of Michael Jackson’s famous which was to be included 22 years after its release in 1980 on Soul Jazz label’s comp Hustle! Reggae Disco. A refreshing interpretation to say the least which remains quite sought after on this 12’’ release by the likes of this Florida-based micro label back in the daze. MFSB
