Surely to be considered as emblematic of a period – the end of the 80’s/beginning of the 1990’s – which would see the boiling UK scene prolific as never, from acid house to the burgeoing R&B, from hip-hop to the so called Brit-soul, not to mention the somehow controversed acid jazz, James Taylor & Co. were to become the heavyweight champions of… No doubt an absolute classic in the genre with awesome arrangements & production work from our man alongside Mike McEvoy graced by the presence of singer Noel McKoy of the McKoy Family who, despite undeniable skills, sadly failed to maintain the attention on his name along the following years. And the good thing about this title is that the numerous remixes that have been released, although bringing it to different perspectives, have all remained true to the brilliance of the original production. The Morales Remix seing the latest surrounded by upcomin’ producer Satoshi Tomiie by the time and keyboardist Terry Burrus being no exception. MFSB
