This time, this is it ! I got to remember not so long ago Kevin (Hedge) tellling me how, although he'd liked it, he didn't feel like a proper DJ as compared to Timmy Regisford who he was working with when he was the co-director of Shelter. Then we would see him alongside Josh (Milan) doing a couple of events in France last summer. Kevin was behind the decks and his partner would sing the title track of this comp as a sort of avant-premiere. We then had the pleasure to see Hedge spinning at some gigs in Miami (incl. A memorable West End party) before joining Louie Vega for a weekly residency at NY Cielo. Although 'being a good producer (and God knows how an outstanding production team they form) doesn't necessarily mean being a good DJ" – these words are from Kevin himself – it was more than predictable that Blaze would come out with the very best, should they embark on such an adventure which, by the way, happens to be the very first for them ! And THE thing is now made to be available, fully displaying what makes our beloved pair like no other. Kevin responsible of the mix along with his partner providing us with additional key parts… You know what ? THIS had to be done! Not talking about the selection, mainly hailing from the West End repertoire, incl. 2 IDMW.com's Singles of The Week (Arnold Jarvis's "Love Of My Life" and the recent "No Body" from Oji & Una), some brand new track from Elliott Venegas but also Jihad Muhammed's "Movement Blues", Hollis P. Monroe's "The Heat", Soul Station's "You" as revamped by DJ Spinna + Blaze's current "Found Love" alongside their classic "Brand New Day" and "How Deep Is Your Love". The rest being made of complementary elements by the likes of Ritmo De Rua, Joi Cardwell, Ambrosia and JoVonn !!! No doubt a BLAZE-ing collection…
