MFSB who celebrates his 30th year…
in da mix this year is back on action with the follow up to his series of
mixtapes, blending classics and hard to find tunes from those days remembered as
the burgeoing period that would give birth to the international dance music
culture. So What you're gonna get on this section is a weekly series of
numerized mixtapes that he's done throughout the years, should it be early
house, R&B, disco, downtempo, soul funk and the likes. Welcome on board…
To all of those of you who were thinking
that we would chill a bit while reading the names of those threesome opening
this new selection, we have the regreat to say NO WAY, Ray Goodman & Brown
having here one of their very rare grooves if not the only one taken from their
repertoire. They're here followed by a female group delivering a pure slice of
sophisticated soul, then by 80's R&B superstar and long time Jam & Lewis
protegee Alexander O' Neal. Then would come a band firmly decided to
compete with Duran Duran at the time with one of those songs that could easily
have found its niche on some 007 adventures soundtrack. Our poppy intermezzo if
we may say so soon to be followed by Chicagoan diva Kym Mazelle with her
Marshall Jefferson classic produced "Useless". The end of this trip mixing funk
and house vibes by the like of Gerald Alston, Ride The Rhythm,
Arnold Jarvis and Steven Dante. Useless, you thought ???
