No doubt folks, gotta get customized with
the name of this German label, synonymous with progression in terms of quality
from a release to another. What we have here is the very first installment of a
series of pieces of music to be included on an album awaited sometime next year
(can't already wait for that). Producer/remixer and live artist Phil Kullmann
is the man sitting at the command of R.A.S., obviously into Afro-Cuban
flavours. Track one - "Nawella" - is a rendition of a traditional South African
spiritual chant. Meanwhile "Pa El Bembé" receives the outstanding feature of
Cuban singer Edisney Portales Vega. Both of them brilliantly displaying
lush melodies over a drop of jazz influences some phat basslines and raw drums
with a more energetic feel on the latest with the addiction of tribal
percussions (on the Main Mix) by label honcho Ralf Gum & CrisP.
