Hey What'sup Everyone,
This is Mano aka Dialect, host and programmer of Bruckbeat radio on CKLN 88.1 FM in Toronto. Our station is doing its annual on-air fundraising drive beginning Oct. 22 for 10 days. To give you some background, CKLN is listener supported radio station dedicated to representing the true spirit of underground music, spoken word and news. CKLN has been breaking sound barriers for 20 years, whether it be rock, reggae, funk, soul, hip-hop, broken beat.  We have always been on the cutting edge of music and world issues in Toronto, giving support to underground musicians and artists locally and internationally !
Last year, we celebrated our 20th year on the air and this year we're celebrating our imminent move to our new studios. Because of the tremendous costs involved with moving studios, the station will be holding fundraising events throughout the rest of the year, the on-air drive is the focal point of all the fundraising effort as we hope to raise over $120,000 during the 10 days of on-air pledging.
The reason for this message is to raise awareness about fundraising as we hope to count on your support.  Whether you listen to CKLN on the FM dial or through the internet at ckln.fm, we hope that our little station has touched your heart in some way. Remember any donation amount is generous and everything goes towards our ultimate goal.

As for my show Bruckbeat Radio, there will be two fundraising shows, one on Oct. 22, 2004 and another one on Oct. 29, 2004, 5-6 p.m. EST.  We have some amazing pledge incentives, including CD's and Vinyls from Rushhour and Goya music (Respect to West London and Amsterdam crews for the support!!!), also new Brukbeat Session mixed CD's by Moonstarr and Dialect.  Plus a numerous of other pledge incentives, you have to listen to the show to find out.  There will be surprise in studio guests, most definitely its going to be off the hook, so please tune in !!!
