NOVA NOVA
Memories
F-Com

“Québec, je me
souviens“… Something that most of you living in North America should have seen
at least one time as it’s the famous quotation featuring on the cars number
plates hailing from this french speaking canadian state. In other words,
“Québec, I remember“, as I do when talking about the first time I met this
french pair. It was quite a while ago at a festival in Britanny where I’d been
booked to spin alongside John ‘00’ Flemming, former Leftfield’s
supremo, Paul Daley and Jose Padilla who’s for much on their
recognition to a wider scale while displaying their music on its immortal
Cafe del Mar series. If ambient has anything to do in France, it undoubtedly
leads us to the very depth of Nova Nova’s atmospheres and this,
form the beginning til the very end of this album. Yes folks, we’re talking
there about nothing but absolute magnificience, and the fact that we may never
hear anymore of’em, as notified by the label on their press release, certainly
adds another drop of melancholy to the beauty of their work. No need but also no
want to go any further as if music’s supposed to speak for itself, it’s most
definitely there…
