Londons longest running soulful house party, Garage City returns
to its native home of Bar Rumba for one night only. Hailed as the UK's most
established Garage night out, complete with club tours and album releases,
Garage City has been known for playing the best in soulful, uplifting
house each and every Saturday for a phenomenal 12 years. It has played host to
the biggest names from the Soulful house arena from Louie Vega and
Todd Terry to Danny Tenaglia and Tony Humphries playing
alongside Garage City's superb team of residents.
It was a visit to Larry Levan's
infamous Paradise Garage club in the Eighties that gave Bobby and Steve
their first taste of a new sound dubbed 'Garage' music, a sound which evolved
from the more soulful and gospel parts of disco, garage music with its soaring
vocals, intricate melodies and jazzy instrumentals, and they have been
pioneering this sound for over 2 decades, celebrating their 20th anniversary
this year with a superb anniversary compilation Past Present & Future for
suSU.
