"Sunshine" by
Louie Vega featuring Blaze & Raul Midon has been given the remix treatment
by Joe Claussell who turns out a fantastic sixteen (!!) minute reworking
you should not miss. It is a limited one-sided 12" edition, so getting a copy
might be a bit tricky. I'm not sure
wether this version will be included on the upcoming Elements Of Life
- Extensions
vinyl box set or not. Only time will tell.
Stacey
Mallory's "Never Be Another Love"
is featured this week in its third and final mix. As the two previous ones, this
is pure magic and this song needs to be released (people are already requesting
copies of it as it is not yet available).
Chez Music have
a bomb in their hands with "Black music" by Franky Boissy which features
Roland Clark on vocals. Only the first part is out yet with David
Harness getting the props for his heavy reworking that is doing damage on
the dancefloors. More mixes from Miguel Migs and Marlon D. to
follow on part two.
"Release
yourself" by Copyright featuring Tasita D'mour is out now with a second
set of mixes. Copyright and Reel Soul join forces for a nice and
deeper interpretation. Also included is a lovely reprise version.
"Golden" by
Jill Scott is my favorite R&B song of this year, and it looks I'm not alone
with this as it has been remixed many times. This week you can check out the
Quentin Harris remix.
Italy's
Mix2Inside featuring Karen Mensah have done a cover version of the
Tavares classic "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" which comes in a nice
variation of mixes.
If you're
looking for some heavy hitters for peaktime play, don't look any further than
for the upcoming release by U.P.R. on Soul Steel Records featuring "Rise
Abour Your Troubles" and "Talking About Soul" which are two uplifting tracks
with spoken words.
