Gosh ! Woudya b-lieve dis ? Not the sole enquiry for a chat with Louie Vega
during his brief staying in Paris as an introduction to this nu album ??? What a
serious lack of respect in regards to a man who brought us so much during these
2 past decades ! As a matter of fact, gotta say that I felt quite sad if not
ashamed about this but not necessarily that suprised by such a reaction from
people who, for most of them, spend their time doing the headlines about people
they would sell the works of at some 2nd hand record shop right after
having their papers printed ! Anyway, that's their own right on a said
democratic system as it's mine to express my feeling about this. Also read at
some forum people wondering about the reason of releasing an album when having a
big part of it already available as 12". Well, I'd say probably, amongst other
reasons, in order the feed the apetites of those who ain't got turntables home.
This said, this package is a serious collection of top quality vibes, should
they be the results of remixes or extended versions as the title says with the
addiction of some unreleased material, provided by names who aptly speak for
themselves, from Kenny Dope to DJ Gregory, Joe Claussell,
Glenn Underground, Frankie Feliciano, Jazzy Jeff and the
EOL members (Anané, Raul Midon, Josh Milan and Vega
himself). And if ever you still doubt it, then make yourself home while
listening to our real audio ecerpts there above. As simple as that… MFSB
