Nu Deep Music is a new French Deep & Soulful House label based in Bordeaux (France).

Nu Deep Music is a new French Deep & Soulful House label based in Bordeaux (France).
Nu Deep Music founders are PEERS & DJ RICO, two talented African artists now based in France. PEERS is a soul funk vocalist and DJ RICO is a well known DJ/Producer that has worked with many labels. About Dj Rico alias Eric Padouza, his almost two decades DJ’s carrier has already offered him opportunities to spin his funky house sound all around the world, but he only started to make music back in 1999. Soon, he met with Frederic Faupin a.k.a. Mr. Fuzz, and they decided to create s new duo named Grantorino. 100% involved in music, he also collaborated on the documentary “Hang The DJ” and selected/mixed the tracks for Slip’n’Slide’s compilation series “Soul’n’Jazz In The House” and “Soul Food”.
The meeting with PEERS gave life to this new fresh & amazing French label!!!!

DJ ELIAS & EVANZ D "El SOL" [NDE001]

Here we are! The first release for NU DEEP MUSIC has like artists these really important producers, DJ ELIAS & EVANZ D. “EL SOL” in three versions, is a fresh track. The “Original mix” is a mixture of percussions, vibes, funky influences and summer echoes. The “Jazz and dub mix” put together a lot of instruments and percussions for a latin jazzy track. Complete the project a “Bonus mix”, that is a short live edit. Enjoy!

DJ Elias & Evanz D are two producers from Barcelona. Dj Elias (ex Stomp Recordings) made a production for Bedrock records in 2001 called “Tijuana Groove”. It was his first production and it was a blow. To sell 30.000 copies in underground is really a success!
Now they’ve signed this fat track on the new label Nu Deep Music.

After his residency at Space(Ibiza) and Queen(Paris) in 1994, both the best venues in the beloved Balearic island and the French capital city, Elias became resident DJ at La Demence (Brussels), it's dj booth being the place to find him for over a decade. Currently he also play music at Europe's finest clubs: Billy(Milan), Gorgeous(Roma), The Base(Milan), Action(London), Les Bains Douches(Paris), Kremlin(Lisbon), Cool(Madrid), Mix(Paris), Goa@Fabrik(Madrid), Pacha(Ibiza), Amnesia(Ibiza), Ku & Privilege(Ibiza), DC10(Ibiza), Sona(Montreal), Liquid(Singapore), Haoman 17(Tel-Aviv) and the main circuit events worldwide. His dj sets are show-cases of musical knowledge and embrace styles such as funky house, electro house, deep/tech house, tribal and also progressive, combined perfectly by a DJ who knows how to satisfy a demanding crowd.
Evanz D alias David Cañadas started producing in 1996. Was a part of Stomp Recordings staff since 2004, when joined Tishomingo Music. In 2005 joined Boavista Music.

Written & produced by Dj Elias & Evanz D.

Reactions :
- Antonello (VEGA Rec.) –“Wow so also new sub label! Great guys!”

- DJ Rork – “OH !!! they're friends !! Smile Welcome on work! (bravo les mecs !) Smile
My favorite is the Jazz and Dub Mix, and the Bonus Mix. Very good first release.. Great sound, good for summer too. Play & chart.”

- Richard Earnshaw – “Really liking the Original mix of EL SOL."

- Ross Couch – “The first release on Nu Deep Music is cool. Liking the original mix best which is a good mix of tribal beats and deeper elements. Will support.Best of luck with the release.”

- Mr. Fuzz - ”How can I say…. WOW !! Excellent news, my brother Rico has founded a label! For sure all trax will be QUALITY! About ”El Sol”, I think it’s a wonderful first ep. Groovy, smoothy & catchy. Big work on percussions and drums lines. Can’t wait the 2nd ep. Nu Deep has all my fullest support.”

- Michael Fossati (Spiritofhouse.com) –“NuDeep Music is a brand new label by Peers & DJ Rico which kicks off strong with "El sol" by DJ Elias & Evanz D, a deeply rumblin' track built around a percussion enriched, funktified groove that is topped with wicked laminar synths and chords that give the track a summery deep house feeling. The 'Jazz and Dub Mix' slows the pace for a laidback take on a jazzy latinesque tip. Lastly there is the 'Bonus Mix', a short edit that has got a live feel to it.”

- Dean Serafini (Jjazproject magazine) – “Bordeaux based label, Nu Deep Music prove that it’s not just great wine that comes from that particular region of France. The first release comes courtesy of Barcelona based production duo DJ Elias & Evanz D who deliver some highly infectious deep house grooves. The “Original Mix” is notable for its combination of electronic bass, rhodes and synths along with beats that are sure to get you moving. The “Jazz and Dub Mix” changes direction slightly with guitars and piano blended with latin style rhythms. Finally the “Bonus Mix” strips it all back and delivers a reprise just in case you didn’t get enough the first time around. Very classy indeed!”

- Simone Nani (Houseparadise.it) –“This record is really cool....great piano turn!”

- DJ Pelau – “This other track is filled with pure percussions and it is ideal for slapping on while you comfortably look for that killer track to blend in after...this sort of blandish yet rhythmic track builds an anticipation for a great bass (which comes in after), great melody or chords (which comes in also after) and great vocals to follow, just even more energy in the next track you bring in. This is genuine dj food, lots of layers, and every instrument wavering and dancing to make you sweat ;-)”
