Darryl D’Bonneau - Remixed, Reworked & Reimagined: The ultimate collection of Darryl D’Bonneau classics from Jellybean Soul
Born in Charleston, South Carolina, Darryl D'Bonneau is the latest name to be added to a prestigious list of talent from a city that includes Sam Cooke, Isaac Hayes & Sylvester. Darryl began singing at the age of four, and soon after his family (recognizing the incredible talent) moved to New York, where his natural singing ability got the attention of Rev. Jerry Burns. Under his supervision, Darryl recorded his first Gospel record called, ‘Love at Open Door’. From there his career flourished. Over the years this multi-talented singer has impressed many an audience with his unique voice and commanding stage presence. His massive single ‘Stop Playing With My Mind’ (a duet with Barbara Tucker), scored the number one position on the Billboard Club Play chart for Strictly Rhythm Records in February 2000.
Darryl has had a long working relationship with Jellybean Benitez and his label, Jellybean Soul, since his debut with ‘Revenge’ in 1995. Over the years he has released a string of fantastic singles such as ‘I Found Love’ , ‘Don’t Turn Your Back On Me’, ‘Miracles’, ‘A Better Way’ and more. Now the best of these singles have been collected and remixed by names such as Jellybean Benitez, Scott Wozniak, 83 West, Jon Cutler, Marlon D., Georger Mena, Stephen Rigmaiden, Jovonn, DJ Meme, B.O.P. and others to create a unique package that takes you on a musical and spiritual journey into the world of Darryl D’Bonneau: Remixed, Reworked and Reimagined.
