Pour ma part, je suis arrivé a la house sur le tard en 1999 (j'ai 42 ans mais je n'etais pas si loin que ca du son house par le biais de la soul, du p-funk, acid jazz, rap juste un peu refractaire a l'utilisation des samples , curieusement j'en acceptais l'idee dans le rap , mais voir mes idoles d'alors, Marvin, James et les JB's, Funkadelic, motown Stax Fela,etc... pillés pour en faire de la musique "Dance" ca m'etait insupportable ... culture francaise ? elitisme du musicien qui vise la performance technique plus que la creativité ?) grace a 2 titres que j'ai decouvert simultanement : Lovetronic "You are love (jay's afrotronic vocal)" sur Naked Music et Mutabaruka "Dis Poem99 (Joe Claussell vocalmix)" sur Guidance .
Dans le cas du Lovetronic ,en quelques sortes j'avais trouvé matiere pour compenser la disparition de Marvin et j'en garde un gout immodere pour les vocaux feminin, et les productions classieuses ciselees au couteau .
Pour Mutabaruka et Joe Claussell , c'est la musique qui revendique, qui plus est sur un sujet qui me tient particulierement a coeur ,puis c'est la mise en valeur de l'heritage africain, enfin un juste retour des choses pour ce continent qui est sacrifié et pillé par nos societes dites civilisées; et puis j'ai vite ressenti une espece de connexion spirituelle tres forte avec Joe Claussell mule j'apprecie enormement son travail et sa demarche mais ce n'est pas mon guide , je n'ai jamais ete fan de qui ce soit , je prefere parler d'amour cosmique ! Shocked
Et depuis cette date je n'ai quasiment plus rien ecouté d'autre que de la house mis a part quelques soul's brotha & sista et je vis dans l'underground biza Laughing

Et puis peut-être BlackBox aussi, voire Snap !!! On sait ensuite ce qu'il est advenu de la production européenne :! on a appeleé ça de l'Euro dance !!! Et pourtant, quand on y repense, c'était plutôt bien fait, tout comme Technotronic d'ailleurs ou encore Hi Tek 3, Raul Orellana, les 49Ers ou encore Piero Fidelfatti, voire Sydney Youngblood. La première chanson de House que j'ai découvert
est " Love Can't Turn Around " de Farley Jackmaster Funk
accompagné au chant par Daryll Pandy.

Le premier morçeau House, que j'ai aimé
est " Pump Up The Volume " de MARRS.
C'est ce morçeau, qui m'a amené à la House.
